Dr. Frank J. Zermeño grew up in the City of Downey and has resided in the Los Angeles area for most of his life.  At a very young age, he was introduced to Martial Arts, where he eventually achieved the rank of Black Belt and later taught adults twice his age by the time he reached high school.  Dr. Frank Zermeno attributes a lot of his success from the discipline and guidance he received through his martial arts training.  He also played football and participated in band playing the trumpet in high school.

After graduating from high school, Dr. Frank attended Cerritos Community College and soon transferred to the University of California, Davis.  In college, he was involved in Evolution and Ecology research and became a Neurophysiology and Behavior Research Assistant and also volunteered in the emergency room at the UCD Medical Center in Sacramento.  After two years, Dr. Frank earned a B.S. in Evolution and Ecology, subsequently teaching seventh grade biology for the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Dr. Zermeno always had an interest in alternative health care.  While engaging in his lifelong love of sports, he injured his back and was unable to stand up straight.  After visiting a chiropractor, who treated him and prescribed postural exercises, he was able to leave the clinic walking straight and nearly free from pain.  Soon after, he left his teaching position and enrolled in Cleveland Chiropractic College-Los Angeles (CCCLA).

While receiving chiropractic education, Dr. Frank became affiliated with both his local and national professional organizations, the American Chiropractic Association and California Chiropractic Association.  He also attended the National Chiropractic Legislative Conference in 2008 and 2009 to lobby for chiropractic expansion in health care.

His volunteer efforts included treating patients at the Venice Family Health clinic and University of Southern California Health Center as well as performing sports physicals for children.  As an intern, he treated his patients utilizing a variety of modalities including Kinesio Taping procedures and Graston Technique, the latter of which he served as student representative.  He studied many techniques including Gonstead, Sacro-Occipital, Cox-Flexion distraction, Full-spine analysis and motion-palpation.  Dr. Frank was also selected as a participating intern in a Hip Osteoarthritis study, which generated great results for patients with hip arthritis.

Dr. Frank prides himself in providing the best chiropractic treatment possible to his patients and always makes himself available to answer questions.  He has extensive experience as a chiropractor and loves sharing knowledge with his clients.

In 2015, Frank the Chiropractor went into business.  Over the years Dr. Frank Zermeno has acquired skills and knowledge to provide the best care possible to his patients.  If your dealing with chronic ailments or acute back pain, Frank the Chiropractor is here to help you get well.
